Father’s Day is just about here which means it's time to spend some quality time with the big guy. Show him some love and appreciation by taking him out to places the both of you will enjoy. You can make some new memories and maybe have a few laughs.

1. Go to the Beach
When in Rome, go to the Colosseum. When in Lewes, go to the beach: It just makes sense. Lewes has plenty of beautiful coastline for you to enjoy with far less of the crowding you get at other Delaware beaches. The sand is smooth, the surf is reliable, and the good times are ready to roll.
2. Get Your Lewes Gear On

3. Bond Over a Beer at a Local Brewery
If your dad is like most, chances are he enjoys a good brew. Thankfully, Lewes has an awesome beer scene. Big Oyster Brewery is right in Lewes, and they are open for dining daily. You can sit back and enjoy some of their best beverages like The Goose is Loose ale and Public Pilsner, while recounting some of your best memories as a child. 4. Go for a Bike Ride
In addition to its beaches, Lewes is known for its expansive (and breathtaking) trails. There are state parks and bike paths for both everyday and serious bikers to appreciate. You’ll get to see all of the untouched nature the state has to offer while coasting along on a bike. The Junction and Breakwater Trail, named after the old Penn Central Rail Line, extends all the way to Rehoboth!
5. Walk Along the Marina
Maybe after your meal, take a moment to enjoy some fresh air and the beautiful views of the Lewes Canalfront Marina. Right off of Front Street, this area could not be any more lovely. You can stand right along the grass or sit on a bench by the flowers and look at the stunning boats on the water.
6. Make It to a Movie at Midway
Movies are back, and it has probably been quite some time since you have been able to experience one in the theaters! The Movies at Midway is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon or evening. You and your dad can completely unwind and enjoy some nice AC as a break from the outdoor heat.
